Assistant Professor of Chemistry Aaron Leconte has been awarded a ResearchRewards grant from TriLink Biotechnologies. The award provides funding for the purchase of synthetic, modified DNA for a project entitled 'Discovery and Characterization of New Mutant DNA Polymerase - Modified Substrate Interactions'. The project seeks to identify proteins that can recognize modified forms of DNA, which has wide-ranging biotechnological and medical diagnostic applications.
