Continued concern over the role of greenhouse gases in anthropogenic global climate change has focused attention on limiting the role of fossil fuels in energy production. But which of the many alternatives should we consider, and why? In this seminar I will discuss "Green" Energy and point out some of the strengths and weaknesses of the various options. Given the time pressure to cut emissions, we are collectively on a very short leash: I see only one viable option for worldwide implementation, and am willing to bet money that you've never heard of it!
